Laser Therapy

We use cold laser in the clinic regularly to treat musculoskeletal conditions including muscle/ joint pain and injury. Laser has been proven to be an effective modality to treat oedema and reduce swelling.

How Many Sessions Do You Need?

It is most effective to have regular laser sessions over a short space of time for maximal benefit. Generally our patients will visit weekly and sometimes twice per week during the initial treatment stages. Overall we tend to do around 6-12 sessions although most people will experience some pain relief after the first session. 

Does it hurt?

Laser is completely safe and pain-free. Unlike heat lasers, they can not burn the tissue or cause any damage. Children get used to the beeping sound very quickly and we find it is one of the easiest modalities we use in the clinic to treat pain and injury.
